The project deployed an equipment and software for experimental stand for ultrasound measurements of anisotropic properties of composite materials. It has been ordered by the Mechanical Department of Warsaw Technical University. The equipment employed was an universal digital flaw detector UMT-15 by Ultramet. The special version of the software for this device has been created. It implemented the Client’s testing methodology of automatic repeated measurements of ultrasound wave flight time through a disk shaped composite material sample for successively altered rotation and inclination.
The UMT-15 universal flaw detector has been used in numerous similar specializations, like testing Diament covered grinding discs, aluminum engine pistons, colloidal medical substances, etc.
